Sarah Jennings (illus.), My Feelings, Bloomsbury/Allen & Unwin,  August 2016,  14pp., $12.99 (boardbook), ISBN 9781408869048

This is a board book so clearly intended for the very young.  Each page presents an emotion such as happy, worried, or shy with several suggestions as to how to respond to these feelings.  For example, ‘If you feel scared, run away fast or laugh out loud or pretend you are a giant’.  Each suggestion is illustrated with a small drawing of a child engaging in the activity.  Every page has a sturdy thumb index with a child’s face expressing a particular emotion, a novelty that young children will enjoy.  A book that could be helpful at home or kindergarten to encourage children to talk abut their feelings.  Ages 3-5.
