    I Love Me

    I love me

Sally Morgan (text), Ambelin Kwaymullina (illus), I Love Me, Femantle Press, 23 March 2016,  24pp.,  $24.99 (hbk),  ISBN: 9781925163490

The prolific Sally Morgan has teamed up with the Pilbara region award-winning illustrator Ambelin Kwaymullina to produce a superb little book of rhyming reasons you might love yourself. The pure, almost neon colours filling every page are a design success, and the text is not just affirming for its indigenous characters, but witty, absurd, inclusive, onomatopoeic, and subtly constructs an argument for tolerance in our personal lives and in our communities. I love this book, and look forward to reading it (maybe singing it) to many small children many times.
