This is a lively picture book about two young children discovering the joys of chasing shadows.
On a bright sunny morning they discover that shadows can be cast inside and outside their home, by themselves and by objects such as trees and buildings. At midday their shadows disappear and in the late afternoon grow much longer. They really understand the magic of light when night falls and the moon casts its shadow. More excitement follows as their father introduces them to shadow animals on their bedroom wall.
Beautifully illustrated in soft wash colours that accurately depict the various shadows. Shadow Catchers was recently notabled in the 2024 Early Childhood category.
