This is a sensitive, amusing book with minimal text complemented by superb illustrations. It includes every imaginable type of dad such as the strong, snorey, busy and riffy dads who play the guitar. Intermingled with these are foster dads, dads who come in pairs, dads who live separately, and concluding with the poignant dads who are always in your heart.
Each illustration depicts a different type of animal dad and their offspring with humorous detail that perfectly captures that particular dad. The book’s production shows the same degree of thought, seen for example in the endpapers that depict the paw prints of all the animals.
