This predominately illustrated book focuses on 14 Australian dinosaurs identified through fossilised remains. It leads the reader through an explanation of dinosaur classification by family, size and time. Interspersed between these general scientific notes are pages on the dinosaurs themselves. Each page has an illustration of the dinosaur and the fossil from which it was identified; a pronunciation guide; a paragraph about how it was discovered; and an overview of its age, type and habits. The general pages hold information about the dinosaur family tree, what they may have looked like, and where they were found in Australia.
Overall, this book is a clear representation of Australian dinosaurs and an insight into their discovery. The ongoing investigation into these ancient remnants creates an exciting scientific future. Highly recommended.
